We used Zoom to continue to meet and spend time sewing together while staying safe at home. We had many wonderful workshops from both professional and in-house teachers, and we participated in mystery quilts and spontaneous ’teach-ins’ during our casual Sit & Sew events. In addition to taking classes and starting other new projects, many of us pulled out our UFOs and got them finished!
Community Outreach
Like you, we sewed thousands of face masks for front-line workers, the homeless, farm workers, their children and other at-risk populations. We also continued to sew quilts, pillowcases and other things, including holiday gifts for our local communities. Here are just a few of the things we made.
