2022 GUEST ARTIST – Laurie Grant
ARTIST STATEMENT: I have been a “needle artist” since early childhood but it wasn’t until the late 80’s that I became a paid professional. I began working for a needlework design company cross stitching models for the magazine they published. It was after the company closed locally that I began my needlework framing and finishing business, Finishing Touches. When the quilting bug hit me, I discontinued the framing work and converted to longarm quilting. My specialty is hand guided custom quilting, which I have thoroughly loved for the past 20 years.
